Fitness kickboxing training and conditioning helps individuals strive to gain self-confidence and attain their personal fitness goals. Get fit and have fun with numerous fitness benefits including cardiovascular, toning, conditioning, strength, and motor skill enhancements. Learn self-defense and experience authentic kickboxing and MMA training without sparring, but still feel like a competitive fighter. Fitness Kickboxing program is based on the Fitness Kickboxing Canada ® training principles.

Kickboxing Glove Level Testing: Those who wish to participate in level testing can do so by attending the Fitness Kickboxing Classes, and work through the level system based on the CASK(Kickboxing Canada) "Kick-Start" program which is similar to the grading system of martial arts. Testing Dates will be set up outside class times and will be individually based and students will be provided with a manual for the "Kick-Start" curriculum. Participants may also choose to stream into the Competitive Kickboxing and Muay Thai program after attending the Fitness Kickboxing program for at least 6 months, and must have attended at least one session of the Level 3 class(defensive techniques) to qualify.

In the Competitive and Muay Thai Kickboxing program athletes must attend at least 2 classes at SPICES Fitness per week, of which at least 1 must be a level 3 class, and will learn both the offensive and defensive techniques and progress to organized sparring sessions outside of class times. If athletes would like to and qualify to train for competitions, they will then commit to training 5 times per week to include both fitness and technical private sessions.

Men's Kickboxing, Muay Thai & Competitive Kickboxing

Men's Kickboxing & Muay Thai:

Learn self-defense and experience authentic kickboxing & Muay Thai training without sparring. Reap the benefits of cardiovascular, toning, conditioning and motor enhancement gains while attaining personal fitness goals. Level 1 is designed for beginners to Kickboxing and will include more basic patterns, teach basic technique, and focus on basic fitness components. Level 2 classes include learning more complex techniques and combinations, and includes more intense fitness training such as high intensity interval training. Level 3 classes will include defensive training such as blocking, counter punching, and performance fitness training to prepare individuals that would like to train to spar or compete.

SPARRING SESSIONS: monthly on Saturdays/Sundays 1-4pm

COMPETITIVE TRAINING-Personal Training sessions are set up with the Coach based on individual schedules.
Fees: $60 Per Month (sparring and testing sessions are an additional fee)
Gear:Gear to get you started and a source for ordering personal equipment (gloves, shin guards, shorts). Start-up fee of $20 for Handwraps.
Outcomes:
Increase Performance Fitness including Speed, Power, and Agility Full Body Conditioning and Cardio Training Learn authentic Muay Thai and Kickboxing Skills and Technique

Women's Fitness Kickboxing & Competitive Kickboxing

Taught by Bernadette Nikkari, Certified Fitness Kickboxing Canada Level 3 Ultimate Specialist, Certified Level 1 MMA Conditioning Coach, (Certified through FITNESS KICKBOXING CANADA), canfitpro Certified Fitness Instructor Specialist and Pro-Trainer, CSEP-Certified Personal Trainer.

KIDS KICKBOXING

Kids ages 7-14 learn discipline, build strength & flexibility, master body awareness and self control while learning basic kickboxing skills while having fun! The Spices Fitness Kung Fu Kids curriculum uses the Fitness Kickboxing Canada skills development program and the Canadian Association for the Sport of Kickboxing (CASK) "Kick-start" program similar to the grading system of the martial arts.

Fees:$96 + GST for 8 week session
Gear:Club will supply gloves for the first month and then children will need to order their own gloves for the second semester. Start-up fee of $20 for Handwraps.
